HAHAHA I always count on you to find such things for me. My father is going to love this... we have always had a sort of sick fascination with bad church signs and this one takes the cake.
Cindy: Glad to know it has made the FB rounds! The more embarrassment, the merrier!
Kevin: Indeed! We thought all the goofy/silly "isms" that pop up on Grace UMC in Grove City were bad--this one is the champion, bar none! Tell your folks "Hi" for me and I hope your Dad thoroughly enjoys this!
TRS: Truth is, I'm not sure. I'm not the first one to find this image. It's been circulating the blogs and the internet for some time. Here's the "original source", or at least the one that is the furthest back that I know: http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.sinden.org/photos/060213.jpg&imgrefurl=http://sinden.org/archives/2006_02_01_index.html&usg=__vUl6W6ifvQ3HPWVTiVtPuzPa4Qw=&h=242&w=200&sz=12&hl=en&start=2&sig2=5unJM_QXPbA8CQKh3oPh4A&itbs=1&tbnid=mtK2__a-iW5S_M:&tbnh=110&tbnw=91&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dst.%2Bjames%2Bucc%2Blimerick%2Bpa%26hl%3Den%26gbv%3D2%26tbs%3Disch:1&ei=Fvw1TIvEGoWKlweG7rmCBA
And it has a comment from the UCC church webmaster halfway or so down the page.

Sean, I put this on my FB yesterday, and it's made quite the rounds! :-)

I'm someone who posted the comment via Cindy Marsch. I now have friends wanting to know what you found it on. Was it a letterhead? A pamphlet?
I guess they're wondering if it is really real.
